This document is an attempt to document those changes and updates to how things might work in an attempt to best prepare the humans that interact with these devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>UAC for users with administrative access will need to reauthenticate for all administrative operations.  Previously the policy was a simple UAC &#8220;consent&#8221; prompt.  However, with the baseline of CMMC 1 requirements, we must understand that &#8220;consent is not authorization&#8221; and therefore all administrative operations will require full authentication. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Company Portal will be installed and will aggregate software deployments available from both SCCM\/MECM and from Intune.  Also, there are a few global applications that will be installed from the Company Portal right away.  Be aware of those &#8220;toast&#8221; popups as they appear in the botton right corner of your screen.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If Bitlocker is not enabled, that is turned on and drive encryption will begin.  You can monitor this progress using the icon located in the bottom right next to your clock.  It is important to wait for any restarts until after this completes to avoid complications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>During all of these initial policy changes, your computer may experience temporary performance degradation.  This is normal and will only last a short while.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The LAPS username issued for local administrative actions will be renamed from the default &#8220;administrator&#8221;.  This is to better identify the use when a user is requesting these credentials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>OS Security and driver updates are no longer delivered from the Software Center.  Instead, we will receive OS and driver updates through Windows Update.  These are still managed by deployment rings and adhere to compliance policy to avoid installing updates too soon after release.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>When a managed computers enters into a co-management state, there are a few changes an end user may experience.
