New Quizzes in Canvas are a separate plugin to the application, so they require a slightly different process to copy from one shell to another.
Open the Settings of the target course.
Select Import Course Content from the Course Status menu.
From within the Import Content menu, select Copy a Canvas Course as the Content Type option.
Search for the source course using the text input.
Select the Select Specific Content radio option for the Content.
Optionally, use the Canvas tool to adjust the content dates. This can be done later from within the Canvas course.
Click the Select Content button to open the Select Content modal window.
Navigate through the available material to find the source Quiz to copy. Be warned, it will not be in the Quizzes tab! Those are legacy Quizzes and not New Quizzes.
Click the Select Content button to confirm the content selection choices. The import job will start automagically.
