Computer Hardware

The computing lab has a total of 17 computers running Microsoft Windows 10.

The CNS Computer Lab comes equipped with high speed black and white laser printing. However, because printing is a costly service to maintain a print quota is enforced.

Current Quota: 800 credits per user per semester.

In order to check your current print quota, please use the following online tool.  Please note that your account to print is created after you submit your first print job in the lab, so this tool will only show you information if you have already printed in the lab during the current semester.

Once you run out of quota, you will not be able to print. Additional quota will not be granted for any reason. As a result of these restrictions you must be very careful about what you are printing. Some useful tips include always printing in duplex mode (both sides), and only printing what is absolutely necessary – don’t print one Power Point slide per sheet. Please address the lab consultant on duty for tips on smart printing.

These devices were purchased with Undergraduate Tech Fee funds and their use is strictly restricted to CNS undergraduates for CNS undergraduate classes. Graduate students, Faculty, Staff, and Undergraduates from any other college are not permitted to use these devices.
