Colorado State University has signed an agreement with Microsoft to utilize Microsoft’s Office 365 Education web-based services. Office 365 includes services – most notably the Exchange e-mail service – that have traditionally been provided by servers hosted at CSU. Office 365 Education also includes additional services such as Skype for Business (instant messaging) and OneDrive ( 5TB of cloud storage).

At this time, CSU is able to offer the following services:

• OneDrive – 5GB of personal cloud storage through OneDrive.
• Skype for Business – Supports secure instant messaging through locally installed Skype for Business clients, remote desktop control, and hosting online meetings.
• Qualifying users (includes all active undergraduate and graduate students and most faculty and staff) can install up to 5 copies of Office on the personally owned computers and devices of their choosing – check here for instructions on obtaining this for personally owned computers: https://it.colostate.edu/m365-apps-and-csu-software – Please note that this does not affect Departmental and university Owned computers and devices – these are still covered under the CNS site license we are familiar with.

How can you take advantage of this new license?  Just log in to https://portal.office.com using your CSU NetID (in the form NetID@colostate.edu) and your CSU NetID password.
