Starting in December 2022 Google Drive will no longer provide unlimited space for colleges and universities. Instead they’re providing students, faculty, and staff with 25 gbs each. This will undoubtedly affect folks who are using Google Drive to store backups or research data. If you or your lab is currently storing data on Google Drive please reach out to us using the ticketing system (https://cnsit.colostate.edu/help) and we can help setup an alternative storage method before the changes go into affect.
Google will be providing more information and clarification on the limitations before the December 2022 deadline and we will update this article with that information as we receive it.
