After uploading a video to Microsoft Stream you can use the permissions and sharing features to make the video available to a course of your choosing. You can access Microsoft Stream by logging into https://portal.office.com/ and selecting Stream from the list of apps.

  • Navigate to the “My Content” drop down menu and select “Videos”
  • Navigate to the video you’re wanting to share and click on the video
  • Once the video is open click on the three (3) dots to the right of the “Like” button
  • Select “Update video details”
  • You will now see a “Permissions” menu in the middle of the window
  • If not already selected, select “People” in the “Share with” drop down menu
  • Type in your course name or copy and paste it from Canvas and click on the spyglass button
  • Select your course and click “Apply” above the “Permissions” menu
  • Now below the video you can click on “Share” and then click on “Copy”
  • Post that link to Canvas and your students will be able to view your video
